We are one of the oldest restoration studios operating within the United States. As a result we have an impressive level of knowledge and experience to draw upon. Don't just take our say so, see what New York Magazine, The Boston Globe and TBS Japan have to say. (TBS Japan is a link to a streaming MP4 video file, broadband & QuickTime required). Or see us in action on a recent job via YouTube. Here is the Carter The Great end result.
In 2006 we moved our operation to the outskirts of Philadelphia to secure a larger space to work from so that we may serve our clients better. We have 3000 square feet of space dedicated to the conservation of posters and ephemera. J. Fields also uses special color corrective lighting to insure optimal clarity. Our philosophy is that each piece is as important as the next whether it be movie posters, advertising posters or anything else for that matter.
Upon arrival at our studio your poster(s) are checked in to our comprehensive database and tracking system and a formal estimate is sent for your approval. We will suggest the best methods to preserve and restore your items but this is in no way written in stone. We recognize the importance of a good client relationship and will work within your needs and budget to get the work done in a satisfactory manner. We consider it a privilege to be able to work on your items and thank you for your interest in our studio.

The summer Vintage Posters auction features a wide array of genres including Mather Work Incentive posters, World War I & II, beach and summer resorts, food and beverage advertisements, and even some movie posters.
Enjoy summery images such as Cachat's-Majestic Chamonix-Mont-Blanc by Candido Aragonese de Faria (top), which will leave you yearning for more vacation time. Frolic away the summer days with Biere de Charmes by Jean D'Ylen (second illustration) or anticipate the fall football season with Touchdown! by Hal Depuy (third illustration). Even rare war posters cannot escape the ocean, as Fred Spear's Enlist plunges deep below sea level.
For lovers of rare chocolate, Swann is offering a never-before-seen at auction image Cioccolato Venchi by Leonetto Cappiello (bottom).
